A little bit about me:

I was born in a small town called Cradock situated in the eastern part of South Africa. Started my first school year in Kimberley and matriculated at Jan van Riebeeck High School in Cape Town.

After military service, I studied at Stellenbosch University and graduated in 1976. Do not ask me what I have learned, because I have forgotten most of it.  Today I am enrolled at the University of Life.

I am married to a beautiful and supportive woman and we have three lovely daughters. And two grandsons and two granddaughters!

For 30½ years I was a teacher in public schools; the last part of my career as principal of DF Malan High School in Bellville.

A few years back, I made a career change and I am now self-employed. I’d like to work for anyone who wants, and can afford, me. (The afford part is supposed to be a joke!) I offer:

I love people with a passion for life.  For that matter, anything with passion! In the same breath; I detest people who are wasting their precious life.

My interests: Writing, motivational talks, travel, the youth, leadership, outdoors, cooking and red wine.  Not always in that particular order.

For the future: To live as as uncomplicated as possible and to try and create the smallest footprint I can leave behind.
